3. Product Overview

3.3 Buttons

5. Product Installation

Step 1. Insert the microSD Card

  • Insert until a click is heard; ensure fully seated before powering on.

Step 2. Install the Front Camera

  1. Attach the Mount Bracket: Slide the bracket into the slot until it clicks; ensure it is locked.
  2. Apply the Electrostatic Sticker:
    Clean a flat windshield area (avoid edges/curves), peel backing, place, and press outward from center to remove air bubbles.
  3. Mount the Front Camera:
    Remove adhesive backing on the bracket, align with sticker, press firmly and hold for several seconds.

Step 3. Connect Power (Front Camera)

Option 1 – Vehicle with USB‑A Power: Route cable along windshield edge and A‑pillar; plug into vehicle’s USB‑A port (5V 2A or higher recommended).

Option 2 – No USB‑A Power: Route cable and insert into the supplied car charger adapter; plug into the vehicle’s 12V/24V outlet. Note: USB/outlet locations vary. To enable Parking Mode, a hardwire kit (sold separately) is required.


Step 4. Adjust the Front Camera

  • Power on and open live preview; adjust angle to face straight ahead and capture the road clearly.

Step 5. Install the Rear Camera

  1. Apply the Electrostatic Sticker:
    Clean the top‑center of rear windshield; peel, place (do not cover lens), and press from center to remove bubbles.
  2. Connect the Cable:
    Run cable from front camera along headliner and C‑pillar/side trim; plug securely into rear camera port.
  3. Align the Rear Camera: Orient upright (SAFY logo upright when viewed inside); secure mount bracket.
  4. Mount the Rear Camera: Clean glass, attach mount to electrostatic sticker firmly.
  5. Adjust Camera Angle: Switch front display to rear‑view mode; tilt until a clear, straight view behind the vehicle is captured.

6. Using the App (SAFY Direct)

  1. Download the App: Search “SAFY Direct” in App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and install.
  2. Turn on the Dashcam: The dashcam creates its own Wi‑Fi hotspot.
  3. Pair the Dashcam with the App: Open the app → tap the “+” (top‑right) → select SAFY9 in device list → follow in‑app pairing steps.
  4. Connect your phone to the Dashcam’s Hotspot: In phone Wi‑Fi settings, select the dashcam SSID (safy9_xxxx). Default password: 12345678. (Disable VPN before connecting.)
  5. Ready to Use: Live view, playback recordings, download videos, adjust settings, update firmware (FOTA), capture moments.
